2008 ProFantasy Rodeo Promotional Partner Grand Prize Winner

VanCampenCliff and Brenda Van Campen of Lamar, Colorado, have avidly followed their steer wrestling son Chad throughout his 11-year career in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association including two years at the Wrangler National Finals in Las Vegas when he served as a hazer.  Although many wins and paychecks dotted Chad’s 2008 rodeo run, he fell short of qualifying for the top 15, but nevertheless ended up in ”The City That Never Sleeps” with a unique employment position during last year’s 10-day WNFR.

While preparing for the Las Vegas trip, Chad and his parents followed their years-long tradition of buying a Pro Fantasy Rodeo team to add excitement while watching the televised rodeo action.  In fact, for the past several years, Chad, Cliff or Brenda has won money playing the game, but last November Chad convinced Cliff to get involved in another aspect of Pro Fantasy Rode—the Promotional Partner Program.  Following the simple guidelines, Cliff decided to go for the Grand Prize of a trip to Las Vegas.  He diligently called neighbors, friends, mutual rodeo buffs to pick a team and asked them to use his promotional code when entering so he could possibly be the promotional partner who recruited the most teams to win the trip.  And that’s exactly what happened!

The Van Campen’s grand prize included round-trip coach air transportation for two between the major commercial airport closest to their residence and Las Vegas, standard hotel accommodations at The Mirage which is the host of Rodeo Vegas parties each night, plus two tickets to the WNFR for the Saturday night performance.  At the Rodeo Vegas parties, Cliff and Brenda had a chance to "meet and greet" WNFR qualifiers and received prizes like a Rodeo Vegas leather jacket, Pro Fantasy Rodeo caps, etc.

“Getting to use the plaza tickets at the rodeo performance, go to the Rodeo Vegas parties and join in with everyone out there was great fun, but that leather Rodeo Vegas jacket was the best part of the entire deal for me!  Brenda and I had a great trip and encourage others to try the Promotional Partner program.  What have you got to lose and look what you can gain!”

Avid rodeo fans with many favorite PRCA contestants representing Southeast Colorado at the national finals, they’ve played Pro Fantasy Rodeo since its inception 6 years ago.  States Cliff, “Owning a team brings so much more enjoyment to the week of the finals and keeps people more actively involved.  There’s a group of us who get together socially most nights of the finals, and its great fun to bring our entry forms with our teams to the gathering so we can keep track of how they’re doing, then brag or kid each other about the teams.  For the past several years we’ve cashed in with our team winning money and last year we cashed in on the free tickets and trip!  What a deal!  We’re already working on our team for this year’s WNFR and we’ll play it every year!”

Entries for the 2009 ProFantasy Rodeo game opened October 21, 2009 and will continue until December 3, 2009, at which time no further teams may be purchased.  Log on to the website or call 1-866-274-0180 to purchase a team or learn how to be a Pro Fantasy Rodeo Promotional Partner.  You, too, could win a trip to the Las Vegas and watch the top 15 PRCA contestants in action at the premier rodeo of the world!
